Jacek Osuch

61 years old, born in Olkusz, married with two children. Graduated from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków. In 2006, as a candidate of Law and Justice he was elected member of the Municipal Council of Olkusz, and served as chairman of its Rule of Law and Local Governments Committee.

In 2007, he was elected Member of Parliament for the Polish Sejm’s 6th term of office, representing Law and Justice for the constituency covering the city of Kraków and the counties of Olkusz, Kraków and Miechów. In the subsequent 2011 and 2015 elections, he was re-elected MP, each time getting over 10000 votes.

As Member of Parliament for the Sejm’s 6th and 7th term of office he worked in the Parliamentary Committees on: physical culture, sport and tourism;  environmental protection;  natural resources and forestry;  state audit;  as well as social policy and family.

In the current 8th term of office of the Sejm he worked in the Parliamentary Committees on: physical culture, sport and tourism (as Deputy Chairman);  constitutional accountability;  and European Union affairs. He was also chairman of the standing subcommittee on Poland’s preparations for holding major sports events at the level of World Championships and European Championships and on systems ensuring their security.

Starting from December 2015, he was Deputy Head of the Polish Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. Since April 2019, he has been Chairman of the Polish Delegation to the Polish-Georgian Parliamentary Assembly.

Engaged in charity work: originator and organizer of the Christmas Charity Meeting held for the last 8 years in the town of Olkusz and gathering up to 1000 residents of the county annually.

In June 2019, appointed Secretary of State in the Ministry of Sport and Tourism as well as Government Plenipotentiary for sports infrastructure.
