Poland in the top 20 most valuable national brands

 

- The project "Promote Poland Together" significantly improved the image of Poland abroad - said Katarzyna Sobierajska, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, during the ceremony in Warsaw for the project to integrate promotion of Polish tourism.This is confirmed by the results of research on the national brands.The analyses conducted by the London-based Brand Finance Institute show that in 2012 Poland recorded the highest increase in brand value among all studied 100 countries.This increase was 75% and Polish brand value increased from USD 269 billion to 472 billion.That way, our country was promoted to the top twenty countries with the most valuable national brands.

 During the ceremony, Gold Logo Poland medals were presented by the President of the Polish Tourist Organisation.

This year's winners were Elżbieta Bieńkowska, Kajetan D’Obryn, Urszula Dudziak, Emilia Kubik, Andrzej Malinowski, Ewa Minge, Leszek Możdżer, Natalia Partyka, Waldemar Pawlak, Krzysztof Przybył, Andrzej Seweryn, Dorota Soszyńska and Maja Włoszczowska.

The system project of the Polish Tourist Organization "Promote Poland Together" is being implemented under Measure 6.3 Promotion of Poland's tourism assets. Its aim is to increase the competitiveness of the economy through the promotion of Poland as an attractive tourist destination.The measure was allocated the amount of PLN 142 million.With project implementation both efficient and giving tangible results, the funds from the European Union are to be increased by PLN 80 million.So far PTO spent PLN 124.5 million on the project.

The project "Promote Poland Together" also contributed to the strengthening of cooperation between the actors promoting Poland in the world, includingRegional tourist organizations and the Polish Tourist Information Centres.There was also significant support for the development of innovative types of tourism products and services and the development of the tourist information system.The project was complemented by conferences, trainings, seminars, workshops and study tours.
