The UEFA EURO 2012™ logo presented in Kiev
On 14 December 2009, Polish Minister of Sport and Tourism Adam Giersz visited Kiev where he participated in the presentation of the official logo and motto of 2012 European Football Championship to be hosted by Poland and Ukraine.
The logo was unveiled by UEFA President Michel Platini accompanied by heads of Polish and Ukrainian Football Associations: Grzegorz Lato and Grygoriy Surkis. The event held on Kiev’s Mikhailovsky Square was also attended by representatives of Ukrainian authorities, primarily President Viktor Yushchenko and Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.
