This information was announced jointly by the representatives of the Messe Berlin and the Polish Tourist Organization during the press conference which took place soon after the ceremony of signing the agreement between these two organizations.

“I am very glad that Poland will be the official partner of ITB in 2011” – said Katarzyna Sobierajska  – Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Sport and Tourism – “because, from the tourist point of view, Germany is the most important country, generating approx. 40% of the total number of foreign tourists arrivals to Poland”.

Rafal Szmytke, president of the Polish Tourist Organization stressed in press interviews that “the hot phase of preparations for the European Football Championships in Poland and Ukraine will start together with ITB 2011” UEFA EURO 2012^TM – is a “unique opportunity for Poland to be introduced as an attractive tourist destination in Central Europe”.

ITB Berlin 2011 – the World’s Leading Travel Trade Show – will be organized from 9 to 13 of March 2011 on the fairgrounds of Messe Berlin.
