Award of Poland Club certificates
The principles of cooperation between the Ministry of Sport and Tourism and the Polish Olympic Committee in the context of preparations for the Games of the XXX Olympiad in London 2012, and for the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014, were also presented during the meeting.
The programmes “Poland Club – London 2012”, “Poland Club Sochi 2014” and individual preparation schemes are new solution in our sport. “The goal is clear – to ensure that elite athletes and those who coaches believe can perform well during the summer and winter Olympics have the best possible conditions”, said Minister of Sport and Tourism Adam Giersz.
“Poland Club” is an innovative programme based on individual contracts with athletes. In return for full funding, they will implement a preparation programme that has been developed together with their respective sports federations and will be closely monitored.
