Football elite in Warsaw
On 27 February 2012 Minister of Sport and Tourism – Joanna Mucha, took part in a meeting with the presidents of the major European football clubs and representatives of the football milieu participating in the in the General Meeting of the European Club Association (ECA) n Warsaw.
The European Club Association is the sole independent body directly representing football clubs at the European level. It replaced the so-called G14 Group (composed of 14 biggest European clubs) and the European Club Forum which were dissolved at the beginning of 2008.
The meeting was also attended by e.g. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge – ECA Chairman, Michele Centenaro – ECA General Secretary, Umberto Gandini – ECA 1st Vice-Chairman, and also Organising Director at AC Mila, Sandro Rosell – ECA 2nd Vice-Chairman and President of FC Barcelona, Gianni Infantino – UEFA general secretary, David Gill – Chief Executive Officer at Manchester United FC, Michael van Praag – UEFA Executive Committee member, long-time president of AFC Ajax and Zbigniew Boniek
