Foreign tourists praise EURO 2012
According to the surveys conducted by the PBS among foreigners on 8 and 10 June in the Tournament Host Cities as much as 84 percent of foreign fans and tourists positively rated the UEFA EURO 2012 organisation in Poland and 81 percent declared their willingness to visit our country again. Almost all respondents also declared that they will recommend the visit to Poland to their friends.
Almost 60 percent of persons participating in the survey were for the first time in Poland, which together with the very good results of the survey confirms the significant impact of the Euro 2012 organisation on the positive image of our country.
The majority of respondents, as much as 91 percent, rated the atmosphere during the Euro 2012 in Poland as very good. 77 percent of foreign tourists and fans positively assessed the transport, and 85 percent stated that they feel safe during the stay in Host Cities.
The Polish city volunteers were highly praised. According to the foreign participants of the Tournament they demonstrated extensive knowledge and competence, very good English, communication skills and great willingness to provide help and support. In general, the work of volunteers in Host Cities received as much as 88 percent of positive responses from respondents.
Also the Polish official Fan Zones were positively rated by 88 percent of respondents. 90 percent of them commended the atmosphere in the Fan Zones, 86 percent safety, and 85 percent localisation thereof.
The survey was conducted by the PBS on 8 and 10 June, i.e. on the first match days in our country, among 500 foreign tourists and fans in each of the 4 Host Cities of the Championships in Poland, which in total gives 2000 respondents. The survey was conducted on a group of people aged above 15, before, during and after the match.
