Consultation meeting of the Visegrad Group
The coordination of positions to the EU meeting and joint organisation of a sport event - these and more were discussed during a consultation meeting of the Visegrad Group.The meeting constituted the implementation of tasks planned under the Polish presidency in the Visegrad Group covering the period from 01.07.2012 to 30.06.2013.
The meeting was attended e.g. by the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which coordinates our presidency in V4.The possibilities of joint organisation of a sport event were presented and discussed, which aimed at Visegrad Group promotion in Europe.Moreover, the representative of the Department of Tourism of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism informed about the implementation of the joint project in the area of tourism by V4 countries entitled “European Quartet - One Melody”.It promotes our region on some Asian and American markets.
The representatives of Ministers competent for sport of the Visegrad Group discussed also the most important aspects of regional cooperation within the scope of sport development and organisation.Moreover, the discussion covered possibilities of coordinating the national approaches at the EU level and the structures of sport in V4 countries.The presentation also touched upon the issue of the organisation of the physical education classes.
The meeting participants have also unanimously emphasised the need to intensify cooperation under the Visegrad Group, which is integrated into the assumptions of the Polish Presidency in the V4.
