Joanna Mucha participated in the Informal Meeting of EU Sport Ministers
On 20 and 21 September Minister Joanna Mucha participated in the Informal Meeting of EU Sport Ministers.
The meeting was organised by the Cyprus Presidency in Nicosia.During the joint session with sport movement the Presidency, the European Commission and representatives of sport organisations adopted a Declaration on the fight against match-fixing.
The Ministers had also the opportunity to discuss active aging.It was decided that this is a very important issue at the moment and that it should be included in the establishment of policies both at the national and European level.
Moreover, during the meeting two candidates (Ministers of Portugal and Belgium) to the WADA’s Foundation Board delivered their presentations.The final selection of one of the candidates will take place during the November meeting of the Council of the EU.
