“These medals prove that you are the best”
Joanna Mucha, the Minister of Sport and Tourism, met with the medallists of the 30th Olympic Games and the 14th Paralympic Games in London and their coaches. ‑ You have already heard many words of acknowledgment. I would like to add that these medals prove that you are the best ‑ said the Minister of Sport and Tourism during the meeting.
Moreover, in the course of the meeting Joanna Mucha discussed the future changes in professional sport expected by the sportsmen and coaches.
‑ However, my intention was not only to organise a courtesy meeting. I want to ask you to be the ambassadors of changes to be introduced in the Polish sport. Changes that you also believe are necessary for your coaches to work and train your successors ‑ the Minister added.
‑ We are glad that the Minister began such an important discussion on many aspects connected with sport: work of physical education teachers, work of coaches, general and professional sport. Obviously, this is not an easy subject, but it surely needs to be considered ‑ said Henryk Olszewski, the coach of Tomasz Majewski.
There were many persons actively engaged in the discussion who raised various issues. ‑ I am very happy four your accurate comments and involvement in our discussion since it proves the significance of the systemic changes ‑ Joanna Mucha concluded.
